“On-site registrations began on time at 11:00am on Friday morning and ended around noon on Saturday. During that time, we had registered over 680 participants for the Rock’n August judged event.” reported Roger Jamieson, president and CEO of CSS.
“For the first time in Rock’n August history, a cellular enabled iPad was used to electronically enter some of the judging results, right at the car. This greatly reduced the number of paper judging forms event staff had to enter manually into the system.” said Roger Jamieson. “The judges really started to appreciate the effectiveness and ease of use of electronic judging and indicated they would be interested in expanding use of the electronic judging system in coming years.”
“The website performed extremely well and we learned some very valuable information on how we can improve the site and streamline the registration process. We will be using the next few weeks to implement some key changes and perform our Software Quality Assurance testing before launching the site to the general public.”
“We’ve been very honoured to have had the opportunity to bring Car Show Solutions to such a prestigious event as Rock’n August and we look forward to working with the event again in the coming years.”
Rock’n August is a multi-day event featuring many musical performances and events and one of the largest annual car shows in Western Canada, averaging over 700 participants every year while raising funds and awareness for the Alberta Diabetes Foundation.
